Who are we?
We are a community orchard project set up to encourage and enable the growing and eating of healthy food, close to our homes. There are so many ways in which this is good for us individually and as a community.
Fruitful Malmesbury was set up by Malmesbury gardeners, horticulturists, fundraisers, researchers in sustainable living and behaviour change, Town Councillors and residents who care deeply about own town. Malmesbury Town Council supports our project aims.
While we aim to provide access to new sources of fruit, we also want to highlight the abundance of food that is already growing in our town. Every year some of it goes to waste either because people do not know it is there or do not know if they are permitted to take it. To help with this, we have a crowdsourced Food Map - please contact us if you want to be on this.
